The Australian Computer Society (ACS) has launched a new online Migration Skills Assessment portal which enables faster processing times, enhanced clarity, and instant updates for your Australia visa application. ACS’s new portal is set to transform the migration journey for IT professionals seeking employment opportunities in Australia.

Key features of the portal include:

  • Expedited Processing: Processing times and decisions are delivered in as little as 15 days.
  • Enhanced Options: Applicants can apply for up to three ANZCO codes simultaneously for one fixed price.
  • Real-Time Updates: The user-friendly applicant dashboard allows applicants to track the status of their application in real-time, providing instant updates.

For applicants who have initiated an application but have not yet paid the application fee, ACS advises finalising the application and payment by midnight (AEDT) on Sunday, March 24, 2024.

The “ACS Skilled Journeys: Navigating IT Migration in Australia Report,” found skilled IT migrants to Australia often find jobs and are mostly happy with their decision to move down under:

  • High Employment Rates: Over 90% of skilled ICT migrants secure jobs, 80% of which are in the IT sector.
  • Regional Migration Trends: Regional Australia is experiencing a surge in skilled ICT migrants, with 36% residing outside of major cities, compared to 18% in 2017.
  • Positive Migration Experiences: Some 83% of skilled ICT migrants are satisfied with their decision to migrate to Australia and 73% encourage others to migrate.

For those considering migrating to Australia or currently navigating the visa application process, ACS’s new online Migration Skills Assessment portal is an invaluable resource to ensure a successful migration journey in Australia’s dynamic IT sector. Skilled IT professionals are highly valued in the country and skilled migrants with IT qualifications are generally happy with their new lives down under.

ACECQA to become migration assessing authority for new-look regional visa scheme https://www.easymigrate.com/acecqa-to-become-migration-assessing-authority-for-new-look-regional-visa-scheme/ Thu, 14 Nov 2019 07:57:19 +0000 https://www.easymigrate.com/?p=3154 The post ACECQA to become migration assessing authority for new-look regional visa scheme appeared first on Easy Migrate.

Following article has been sourced from The Sector

Effective 16 November, the Australian Children’s Education & Care Authority, (ACECQA), will become an authority for assessing applications for the Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional subclass 494 visa scheme in the child care centre manager and child care worker categories.

The change comes amidst the replacement of the old 187 visa with the new potentially more attractive 494 visa which has been designed to incentivise more overseas skilled workers to migrate to Australia and settle in regional communities where skills gaps exist.

The change will be of interest not only to those working in these roles and seeking to immigrate to Australia, but also to those with a responsibility for HR functions within the early childhood education and care (ECEC) context.

Under the previous rules Trades Recognition Australia were the key assessing body responsible for providing an assessment service for people with trade skills gained overseas for the purposes of migration when it came to child care related roles. Moving forward ACECQA will assume responsibility for this function.

Successful applicants will need an employer to commit to offering a suitable position to the candidate for at least three years, and have at least three years relevant skills experience approved by ACECQA.

Should these core criteria and other secondary criteria be met the applicant will receive a five year 494 visa and the option to apply for permanent residence after three years.

ACEQCA have highlighted their new responsibilities in an update on their website which can be found here and committed to providing full details, including application forms and assessment requirements ahead of the changes taking effect on 16 November 2019.

The legislation confirming the change can be found here

With Australia paying their doctors up to 50 per cent more than the UK, it is easy to understand why many UK and other overseas doctors are considering migrating to Australia. There are a number of different doctor occupations on the Australian Skilled Occupations List, and there are also a number of different visa options available. Finding the correct visa subclass to apply for can be confusing for many people who are considering migrating. We have compiled four steps to help you;

  1. Find out if your Occupation is on the combined Skilled Occupations Lists
  2. Speak to a Registered Migration Agent for visa advice. The agent will be able to tell you which visa pathway you should apply for, how long the process may be, how much it will cost and what documents you will need to submit.
  3. For permanent residency in Australia, you will undergo a Skills Assessment as this will be required to lodge a visa application. But for company-sponsored temporary visas, this is not compulsory. For regional areas there are “exemptions” but for work as a Medical Practitioner in a metro-area it is compulsory to have “Australian Registration”
  4. Australian Registration is handled by the Australian Medical Board (AMB)

Australia has lots of employment opportunities for medical practitioners who are looking to leave the grey rain clouds of the UK/Europe behind and start afresh in beautiful sunny Australia.

Alecto Australia is a recruitment company who specialise with General Practitioners jobs. You can find your perfect job today by just searching their vacancy list and the book to speak with one of our team regarding migration advice.
